In the Networks for a Social Impact, we identify The Grinnell Campaign for Grade-Level Reading (https://www.grinnelleducationpartnership.org/) as one of the eight networks with a demonstrable impact on student achievement. It is located in Grinnell, Iowa, population 9000. In this episode, we feature an interview with Monica Chavez-Silva, one of the network leaders. We discuss how they use the power of community volunteers, Americorp members, and capacity building to make a social impact in this rural community.
